The French Cycling Federation is hosting the Tissot UCI Track Cycling World
Championships from October 20 to 24, 2021 at the Roubaix velodrome.
This major international event, organized in a territory where the cycling
tradition is particularly present, will see the greatest athletes compete
against each other. The Tokyo 2020 Olympic champions and medalists will be
there to win the rainbow jersey.
These championships on our national territory will have an important role in
the preparation of the French teams for the Olympic Games in Paris 2024. This
preparation will be further reinforced in 2022, with the organization of these
same 2021 Tissot UCI Track Cycling World Championships at the « Velodrome national
Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines », setting for the Olympic events in Paris 2024.
Beyond high performance and knowledge of future Olympic venues, the enthusiasm
of young graduates towards the track discipline will be stimulated by the regular
hosting of these major international sporting events in France.
